Diane Cluck

Diane Cluck is an American singer/songwriter. She is loosely affiliated with the anti-folk scene centered around open mic nights at the Sidewalk Cafe in Manhattan's East Village in NYC. She moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia in January 2007.

She has recorded six albums since 2000. Cluck has been known to use a Seagull acoustic guitar with a capo on the 1st fret, piano, organ, harmonium, handmade-xylophone, and zither in her performances. She has been influenced by dogs and her home state of Pennsylvania. "Dogs inspire me and break my heart. They are joyfull by nature and honest at all times. People imprison and domesticate dogs, rob them of their sex organs and then keep them around to stroke on. Humans keep pets as models of their own restraint. I am interested in 'freeing the dog'."[citation needed] Her music uses discordant effects and much dynamic contrast.
