Frank Hoier
Frank Hoier is a songwriting performer (guitar, harmonica) who currently lives & plays in New York City. Born and raised in Southern California, he is influenced by american music (Folk, blues, and rock & roll). You might say he sounds like Gordon Gano singin' Bob Dylan. Originals involve an equal mixture of sarcasm, hope, desperation, humor, anger, & love. His first year in NYC saw an Urban Folk magazine cover, and a cover of the arts section in Newsday. He is a friend and part of the thriving east village antifolk community. You will most likely see him onstage in Sidewalk Cafe's candlelit backroom, or playing down in the subway with a studied repertoire of Beatles and Dylan.
