Palermo, Italy based artist Gioele Valenti (aka Herself) crafts hauntingly homefi songscapes. He's back - two years after his lucky first Please please please, Leave now (Subcasotto Records 2005) - with ‘God is a Major’ for Jestrai Records (Ulan Bator, Verdena…) He recorded these songs in a small room of an old abandoned country house called Thelema. Ever wonder what could happen if Six Organs Of Admittance and Sparklehorse got together for beer and pizza and wrote a handful of songs together? Sweet-sounding acoustic mood, but don't let that fool you. More acoustic, more nervous than ever. From South Italy, a one man band mixing excellent lyrics with indie folk atmospheres on electronic lo-fi layers. Not self indulgent, just dark and beautiful.
