Weemayk Movies

Weemayk Movies owner Justin Remer says: I think I was 14 when I came up with the name Weemayk Movies (if you don't understand the name, read it out loud), and I've used it as the name for my "production company" ever since. However, to this point, the company has always been me.

Mostly, I write, direct, and edit.

I have produced some of my fiction shorts and documentaries, and I have operated camera for both video and 16mm film. I have Assistant Directed some student shoots and been a Production Assistant on a handful of independent films shot in New York State (mostly in NYC).

I've even done some film music, and I head up the music group Elastic No-No Band.

I worked for Troma as a video editor and DVD production manager; I was even a dead chicken zombie in their newest theatrical release Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead. Of the 40+ DVDs I made for them, there are 2 I'm proud of: Lollilove, starring and directed by Jenna Fischer from The Office, and the 10th anniversary, 2-disc edition of Tromeo and Juliet.

While at Troma, I cowrote a feature script called Kickball! The Movie, which was later directed by a pair of my Troma colleagues. I haven't seen it, but I hope it's good.

I've also done some freelance assistant-editing work for Five-Eyed Films, mostly on the second season of the PBS home show, Katie Brown Workshop.
