As many of you may know, I have been involved in Develop Don't Destroy Brooklyn for the last several years. We lost the battle to keep a corrupt basketball arena out of our neighborhood (Fort Greene/Prospect Heights) but we continue to fight to put something positive on the rest of the "grabbed land", instead of either parking lots or 60 story skyscrapers.
A movie was just made about the fight, and I am pleased to say it turned out to be a great and entertaining one (I did not assume this would be the case). It's getting very positive reviews. But it is a documentary, which means its chances of national distribution are iffy. If you go to see it this weekend during its three-day all-day run at Cinema Village, you will help it to have a chance. Please do. Buy tix online in advance!
