Bionic Finger

Bionic Finger is lust, sex, anger, sadness and joy in four-part harmony combined with the thunder of a bass drum, dueling guitars and the ferocious slap of the bass. This all-female NYC quartet (Alina Moscovitz, Christine Murray, Nan Turner and Pam Weis) boldly swaps instruments and lead vocals resulting in a tasty-hot fondue of indie-pop peppered with humor and attitude. Unpredictably emotional, intense and aggressively goofy, Bionic Finger is not afraid to embrace their contradictions.

Three out of the four Fingers met in college where the band was first born with a few chords, a cheap drumkit, and a bass passed down from Dad. A few years later, after the fourth Finger joined the trio, Bionic Finger dove headfirst into the NYC rock scene ready for world domination.

In the summer of 1999 Bionic Finger decided that the music world needed a good swift kick and began plans to record a CD. They found their engineer and co-producer in Nicholas Vernhes (Les Savy Fav, Cat Power). Then, to secure financing, Bionic Finger pre-sold their CD to fans. After raising thousands of dollars, Bionic Finger proudly released "Inner Bimbo" in May 2000.
