RIP old OJ Board.
Just 4 days left on the old OJ Board. How are people feeling about the change? Would you like to write a condolence letter to the old board? I'd love to get some of of the strongest ideas for improving the new forum?
Personally I'm not the biggest fan of the text editor. We're looking for something a bit more intuative. Posting linked images is a bit more tricky here. For now you have to use code for displaying linked images. http://werbach.com/barebones/barebones.html#links
Look at a post.
Look at how close the borders are that your words remain within.
there is way less spaciousness
the post actually takes up only the middle third of my screen
It is what it is, but you asked.
I think the simplicity of the old board was great. I am get used to the new board, but for me, the less busy color/content/graphics-wise, the better. The "command +" tip is one worth repeating because it really helps.
One nice thing about the old board being separate from the site is that it felt like an island, even if in reality there were a lot of lurkers. With this site, it feels like I'm posting in a high-traffic area. I feel a little more exposed, even if this is an illusion.
The last epic thread really took a lot out of me. For the fall I'm saying "no" to a lot of small projects and time-demanding activities like posting in order to get some other things done.
I posted a few more photos from my trip on my site:

Goodbye good ol' board...
I enjoyed the old board, but what's gone is gone and I'm always happy with a change.
for some reason i didn't know you could still go to the old one.
why is it that we / me / whoever, is not using this new one and posting like we did on the old one?
i know i'm not... is it because we are like old dogs that can't learn new tricks, our eye/mind is so comfortable and used to that one?
i don't know myself, just wondering....
