The Dave Deporis Show Last Night

Dave played a beautiful 35-40 minute set at Sidewalk Cafe last night.
Dave is a friend of mine.
I've known him for years.
He's a brother in a sense.
3 or 4 times during his set I was deeply moved.
The man's songs have been amongst the best performed at Sidewalk over the last decade.
The fact that there were about 8 people at his show is another example that proves to me that audience numbers have absolutely zero relation to the performers level of honesty, integrity, or talent.
PS Not that there was a bad performance last night by anyone else.
The whole bill was filled with people that delivered.

Dave's set was beautiful, agreed.
He started his set by saying he didn't promote it.
I think a lot of people come to Dave's shows when he sends an email to people.
Not that I'm saying he should have - he did what he wanted and he played a great set.
And thanks for being there, Barry and Brian Speaker and everyone else! My nerves were calmed by the friends.
I was sick as a dog, but I had Brian record Dave's set for me for exactly this reason. I think he's amazing and can't wait to hear the show.
