Inside Job

I think it's a very important movie that everyone in this country and western civilization should watch. I'm happy to see that it won best doc at the Academy awards. I'm sure it just confirms what a lot people think about Wall Street and the government but it also talks about how the American people and how the general lifestyle that we lead is just as much to blame for this financial crisis. We are all to blame for this mess.

I spent most of my childhood hearing my father complain about the "younger generation" and how selfish they are. It was all a smoke screen to keep me from realizing that this mess actually started with his own generation with their self serving ideals in the form of deregulation cloaked in the big American lie of "Freedom." This stuff has been going on for many decades. I feel lucky, in a way, to be alive to see a shift. It's damn scarry but I have hope. We are peeling back the layers.
