Forum Fun Question #1
If you could/had to live anywhere but where you do now where would it be?
The moon.
Or Connecticut.
JAPAN.
I lived in Japan for a year and miss it a lot. I was in Ogaki, Gifu-ken. I think Tokyo is the kid of city that I'd love to bullet train to frequently, but for living, I'd prefer Osaka. It's as close to Kyoto as Manhattan is from Brooklyn, and it's slightly warmer (like Washington DC). I've actually soaked up more of the Japanese media culture since I left...when I was there I listened to my old music to remind me of home. Now I watch movies and listen to music that reminds me of my time there. Plus, airfare from Japan to any number of amazing SE Asian destinations is just as cheap as flying around the states here. You can go to Singapore for $400.
I love New York and am very happy calling this my home.
Saratoga
Benghazi
hawaii
Tokyo. After seeing Lost in Translation I was sold.
: D
- Also London is really cool.
It used to be Charleston, SC. Last summer I said screw it & moved here. Just 1 regret.... I didn't move here sooner.
berlin, or paris
that kind of looks like Shreks house...
Long term, Scotland near Inverness... or Norway or Nova Scotia... Matt's cottage looks good to me too... and for a short time... Venice, Italy, cause I love old cities...
Id live in Matt's cottage but only if the current inhabitant was there as well.
I would not want to live with Robert Plant.
Valencia - I think it's number one.
After that, maybe Strasbourg or some small little village in the Alps.
With a recording studio in the basement, all the way!!!
Not if he's got that black dog with him barking all night.
*bad joke*
All your posts seem to suggest quiet lives in peaceful areas. I live in a remote village in Ireland and it's the pits for me. Not suitable for someone my age but I'm about to take to the extreme when I move to Toronto this summer. I've never lived in a city before or stayed in one for more than a day.
Wish me luck! :S
plenty of musicians picking quiet secluded places to live also would like to tour regularly--which would probably mean visiting major cities and not much privacy.
When you include that factor it makes a lot of sense.
anywhere but where you live now. Many of us already live in cities, so this would be a change. Really Im in no mood to leave NY.
In a lighthouse.
