school girl crush...

so i've been listening to music lately for the purpose of hearing the mixes. when i searched my itunes for metal, i found Tool, Lateralus in there. can't remember when i got this record, but i have not been able to stop listening to it. its like, the sounds and the rhythm just grab me and won't let go. i saw Tool in a big stadium several years ago. it was an incredible concert. four guys on a big, flat, LED, stage. each one had their own square with which they rocked out. the drums where in the back right hand corner, the bassist in front of him. guitar player positioned at the front of stage left and Maynard, upstage left. He came out in white jeans, no shirt, a cowboy hat and a belt buckle you could recognize from 100 yards away, which is about where our seats were. these guys, a four piece, sounded exactly like this album. Hugh!

makes me wonder if anyone else has had a recent revelation in music listening experience that has them captured for a while.
