This show is at my favorite new venue in Kansas City. It's called the Record Bar. It's in a strip mall but it's really great space with good sound and a nice menu. The idea of reclaiming a strip mall for a cool indie music venue is an intriguing idea to me.
Grass Widow (from San Francisco) is band that I've recently discovered. They are one of the most exiting bands that I've heard in the past year. I'm super excited about the idea that Schwervon! gets to share a bill with such a cool band in such a cool space in our new home town. Please come if you are in the area. I'm sure it's going to be a fun night. I don't know the other local band Lazy that well but I listened to some stuff online and they have a nice old NY art-punk vibe a la Television/Richard Hell etc...
