What a shock, the Tea Party Patriot leadership seems to view rank and file Tea Partiers as little more than sources of income.

The right has long made an art of getting poor, un and undereducated people to vote against their own interests. This is usually accomplished by focusing on polarizing social issues, like abortion, gay marriage and, in the really good old days miscegenation. Apparently, the TPP have added a new angle to our sham of a political system. I call it "direct swindling." Find out who the grassroots TP'ers\are, then hound them with tele"fundraising" campaigns.

Fucking vampires. Still, they'll find willing victims. Like that pack of bigots in Iowa. You know, the ones who think Barry O. is a secret Muslim.

I look forward to the second and third installments of this article.

You should know what Sibel Edmonds knows.

I'm In

This is a great article and just shows what a difference a few people can make. I would take part in this type of demonstration in a heartbeat. Who first?

planning meeting

Apparently there was a planning meeting tonight. Below is the email I got explaining some needs/things they are working on. I will ask for a meeting update to post here.

You're receiving this email because you've expressed interest in NYC Uncut! We will be holding a planning meeting

TUESDAY
FEBRUARY 22
7:00-8:00PM
Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew
263 West 86th St., New York NY

At this meeting we'll go over our talking points, set ground rules, give a clear picture of our exact course of action on Saturday and distribute literature.

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

1) We need someone to customize flyers for NYC. I have the file and the content here: http://tinyurl.com/NCUncut3 and here: http://bit.ly/hR2vNK. I just need someone to customize it for NYC and put it into a format we can share online via Facebook and Twitter like @NCUncut did. I also have Bank of America facts that can be included in the first flyer or put into a separate one.

2) We need someone to take charge of media by creating a press release, notifying media outlets of our actions and fielding media requests. If you're interested let me know your media experience!

Thank you for your help! I'm working a full-time job and have even more on my plate, so any help is appreciated. I have tentatively chosen the BoA at One Penn Plaza East for our action but need to go down there to scout out the location---and find a nearby meeting place if we want to do what other Uncut chapters have done and keep our target secret by meeting at a nearby location and then walking to the target together. (Any thoughts on that? It's starting to sound overly complicated.)

More US Uncut stuff

http://thinkprogress.org/2011/02/26/main-street-tax-cheats/

Yeah, so it turns out, if you have paid any income taxes, at all, you paid more than GE, BoA, and Wells Fargo, combined.

Hooray.

i went on Saturday...

There was a pretty good turnout for such an early action, probably between 70 and 90 people. Afterwards I went to city hall for the labor rally, which had thousands of people, and then to the Planned Parenthood rally. Pretty good day, but hopefully just a starting point.
